20051216 New Jalpaiguri
There is no direct transport from Sikkim to Bodhgaya. Spent 4 hr in a shared jeep to New Jalpaiguri, Waited for 7 hrs before taking 16 hr uncomfortable bus journey to Patna, followed by 4 hr local bus to Gaya, at last 20 minutes rickshaw ride to Bodhgaya. Exhausted! Note: I bought the bus ticket to Patna from an agent, who bought the same from 2nd agent, while the 2nd agent collected further commission from the 3rd agent. This is India, commissions… agents… business without capitals.
