The small town retains Portuguese feels, the architecture is not Indian, town is clean, green and tidy. Not crowded but the traffic flow is unceasing. Had a so-called "sundown" cruise tour, was heavily packed with locals, estimated 400 ppl. Rs 100 for 1 hr. Program was not quality, many disco dancing numbers + 3 dancing performance and live band. Surprisingly lots of Indians like to dance, typical Punjabi shoulders shaking and hands swinging. In Old Goa, many churches were built during Portuguese colonial era. It's not bad to kill time. I like Goa, the atmosphere and environment are relax and tranquil. The long stretch of beaches are the main attractions for tourists, I have only visited the nearby Calangute Beach. The beach zones are extremely touristy, lots of hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops... It was so pact. Indians are conservative, only a few ladies wearing swimsuits. Foreign ladies topless scene is available. Miramar Beach is a popular place to watch sunset.
