20060129 Hampi

I had the most horrible bus ride in India, there were fleas on the sleeping couch! A disastrous 12 hr torture. The bed (last seat) was bouncing and waking me up frequently. The ruins in Hampi were not spectacular to me, but some tourists like them very much. It’s personal like. The area was scattered with huge boulders and rocks. No forest, but some banana plantations along the canals, Probably I was not in good mood due to the sleepless night, and I compared it with Orchha and Mandu. Quite disappointed and Hampi does not have real great spectacular things to show. Hampi is expensive to its standard, probably foods and water are transported from somewhere.
