The Maharaja Palace, probably one of the most beautiful palaces I have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately photographing is not allowed. The murals that depicting Mysore history are fine, details are lively and real. The hall with octagonal dome is spectacular, ceilings are decorated with coloured stained glass, a real masterpiece of architecture. The floor marble inlay is good looking. Arches and pillars in gold + cyan & red colours presented a symmetrical beauty. Never realized gold colour could be so attractive. Mysore has many cinemas with huge man-drawn-posters erected in the town. The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, National Musem of Mankind and Arts Gallery, is a good place to promote traditional arts and culture though small.
