Kollam is larger than Allepey, there are more travel agencies offering backwaters activities. The beach was not advisable for swimming due to strong waves. Water is clear and not stinky. It was pleasant to visit the adjacent fishing village, had some talks and snapshots with the friendly villagers. Observed that no lady is working on the fishing village beach. One should be careful while strolling on the beach for the human waste. Men are care free on the beach, shitting everywhere and leave them depose naturally. Close to sunset, watching fishermen departed to earn their leaving. Went for a village tour at Munroe Island the next morning. The boat navigated through the narrow canals, it is relaxing and quiet, experiencing the real backwaters. Though it was not particularly great, it was enjoyable somehow.
